Juste pour vous faire sourire un peu mais sans aller dans trop de commentaires ici, probablement Inbox plus tard, pas d’urgence !

Saviez-vous que j’ai traversé plusieurs fois ce pont de N’Gueli marquant la frontière entre le Cameroun et le Tchad, sur le Logone entre les années 2000 et 2008?

Je me rendais d’abord a Ndjamena pour les comites budgétaires ou pour former mes équipes de trésorerie (En général dans toute l’Afrique Centrale pour l’institution dans laquelle je travaillais). Et de Ndjamena, j’allais souvent aussi dans la ville de Béré, dans la Tandjilé Ouest, pour d’autres contrôles ou formations !!

En partant de Yaoundé par avion pour Maroua, je prenais donc la route, que vous connaissez très bien, par Kousseri, dans la région de l’Extrême-Nord et le département du Logone-et-Chari ! Et vous savez comment on appelait cet axe a l’époque, je ne sais pas si le nom a changé. Probablement qu’un jour, je visiterai encore ce pont !

Moi, je n’avais jamais eu peur et c’était pour prouver aux gens qui me suivaient que malgré tout, il y a la confiance de voyager entre ces deux pays dont je ne suis pas originaire, mais que j’admirais ! Parfois, les gens pensaient que je suis camerounais ou tchadien !! Loin de là.

Bref, on en parlera lorsque vous serez à Winnipeg !

    MY ARCHIVES/JOA – Message, to smile, to our partners and friends from Chad (And even from Cameroon)! You didn’t know this!!

Just to make you smile a bit but without going into too many comments here, probably Inbox later, no rush!

Did you know that I crossed this N’Gueli bridge marking the border between Cameroon and Chad several times, on the Logone between the years 2000 and 2008?

I first went to Ndjamena for budget committees or to train my treasury teams (Generally throughout Central Africa for the institution in which I worked). And from Ndjamena, I also often went to the town of Béré, in Tandjilé Ouest, for other control or training!!

Leaving Yaoundé by plane for Maroua, I took the road, which you know very well, via Kousseri, in the Far North region and the Logone-et-Chari department! And you know what this axis was called at the time, I don’t know if the name has changed. Probably one day I will visit this bridge again!

Me, I had never been afraid and it was to prove to the people who followed me that despite everything, there is the confidence to travel between these two countries of which I am not from, but which I admired! Sometimes people thought I was Cameroonian or Chadian!! Far from there.

Anyway, we’ll talk about it when you’re in Winnipeg!
