NEPAD-Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility and COMESA Secretariat launch market analysis for the Africa Cloud Ecosystem Project, 26-Jul-2022
The Secretariat for the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and the African Development Bank have launched phase one of the Africa Cloud Ecosystem Project, to be financed with a $550,000 grant from the NEPAD Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility Special Fund (NEPAD-IPPF) to support the market analysis and pre-investment study for the project.
The signing ceremony for the project took place on 13 July 2022, followed by a workshop for representatives of both institutions. The first step in getting the project off the ground is a market analysis.
The regional cloud ecosystem project will contribute to innovation and the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises on the continent, by making consumers become better accustomed to online national and cross-border transactions.

Le COMESA et la Facilité de préparation des projets d’infrastructure du NEPAD lancent une étude de marché pour le projet Africa Cloud Ecosystem, 26-juil-2022
Le Secrétariat du Marché commun de l’Afrique orientale et australe (COMESA) et la Banque africaine de développement ont lancé la première phase du projet Africa Cloud Ecosystem, qui sera financé grâce à un don de 550 000 dollars du Fonds spécial du Mécanisme de préparation des projets d’infrastructures du NEPAD (NEPAD-IPPF). Le financement permettra de faire l’analyse de marché et de mener une étude de pré-investissement du projet.
La cérémonie de signature du projet le 13 juillet 2022, sa été suivie d’un atelier pour les représentants des deux institutions.
Le projet régional d’écosystème du cloud – dont la première étape de la mise en route consiste en une étude de marché – va favoriser l’innovation et le développement des micros, petites et moyennes entreprises sur le continent, en familiarisant davantage les consommateurs avec les transactions en ligne au niveau national et transfrontalier.
